Who We Are

ADAPT and ABC Defensive Driving School have a team of professionally trained and highly dedicated instructors, including Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDC).  All staff members are licensed by the state of Texas to teach the classes we each conduct.  We are licensed and monitored/regulated by: Texas Education Agency (TEA), and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Professional Certification and Licensing Unit (PLCU) – Offender Education.

Two things motivate individuals to modify their behavior; knowledge and fear of consequences.  With knowledge comes a clear understanding of the consequences, which can help motivate the individual to modify his or her own behavior.  Statistics show a reduction in recidivism among violators who have taken court ordered offender education classes as opposed to those who have not taken the classes.

In view of this information, one of our primary objectives at ADAPT & ABC Defensive Driving is to make the classes available to as many people who seek them as is possible.  Through our commitment and dedication we have found that convenience through accessibility, availability and flexibility enables us to better meet this objective.

ADAPT and ABC Defensive Driving School are both conveniently located at the same site at 5110 Wilkinson Dr. #108, centrally located in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Our office hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday.   Saturday & Sunday classes are held until mid afternoon.

We teach the Defensive Driving Class every day, seven days a week.  If only one person shows, we teach.  There is no minimum attendance for that class.

The 6-hour Adult Driving Class for Ages 18 to 24 is available online with 24 hour assistance.

All other offender education courses are held at least twice a month with a minimum as imposed by the state.  Most of the classes are available day and evening as well as weekdays and weekends. Ask about options for Spanish-speaking students.
